Yes, coconut oil. I use coconut oil for many things. I had seen the ingredients for making the deodorant but I still hesitated. [ Coconut oil comes in many sizes and shapes. For deodorant it doesn't really matter. For consuming I would buy the organic in a glass jar.] I was concerned about the oil coming through my clothes so I decided to talk to a few people who have tried this before I decided to.
By the way I tried natural deodorants (several kinds) and within an hour I had underarm odor. I was getting desperate to find a solution. The first time I made it I thought it might be too oily so I added more baking soda. This was a mistake. It became dry and I would break out in red bumps due to too much baking soda. So I made another batch and it turned out perfect. I followed the instructions exactly. This made a perfect batch. It lasts a very long time because you use very little. Rub it on with your finger tips. That works the best.
5 to 6 Tablespoons coconut oil
1/8 cup Arrow root
1/8 cup cornstarch ( or you can use 1/4 cup of Arrow root or cornstarch)
1/4 cup baking soda
If you want a scent you can add a drop or 2 of essence oil. I prefer no scent.
